The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It should inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
